Corner shop

You can find this sushi restaurant right in the middle of Minneapolisdowntown in the Warehouse District. Kado no Mise opens its doors for dinner on every Wednesday and Sunday.

It’s not a casual location to stop in. Reservations are necessary. You can expect warm service at this traditional Japanese restaurant with a setting that is elegant but not too formal.

Diners have the option of choosing between the three sampling menus. Chawanmushi was included on all menus, was the main attraction of the evening.

The delicious eggs custard, served with Shiromi was my favourite course that evening. The menu was consistently fresh and carefully prepared meals throughout the evening.

The sushi menu was another memorable one, featuring 13 pieces of Nigiri.

A lot of the dishes include Vegan and gluten-free, meaning there’s something for everyone in this trendy but entertaining sushi restaurant.

If you’ve heard of Kyatchi there’s a good chance you’ve heard of their sushi pressed. The people who love this sushi available in three different varieties: salmon, mackerel and sea bass.

Kyatchi offers delicious vegetarian options. I suggest trying some in the event that you’re not just eating vegetables.

Particularly the Veggie Caterpillar Roll is a combination of avocado with asparagus to create an incredibly flavorful roll made of vegetables.

Masu Sushi & Robata

Masu Sushi & Robata

On the east bank of the Mississippi River in the Nicollet Island neighborhood, Masu Sushi & Robata serves authentic Japanese food with a green twist.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is divided between trendy and traditional. The cozy ambience is what makes Masu the perfect spot to go out for a night at night in Northeast Minneapolis.

The entire sushi menu by Masu Sushi & Robata is made from sustainable sources, which means that you won’t see the same traditional sushi that other restaurants serve.

This Crunchy spicy Salmon Roll uses Scottish Salmon with hot but delicious chili, ginger as well as garlic sauce. One of the highlights of my meal at Masu Masu is The California Roll with real snow crab.

Origami Restaurant

1354 Lagoon Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408
Phone: 612-223-8666

Origami Restaurant

The stylish and enjoyable Uptown neighborhood, located near City’s Chain of Lakes houses Origami Restaurant.

This sushi restaurant that has a modern, sleek design provides customers with a wide selection of top-quality Japanese food and drinks.

Pick from a variety of traditional dishes or taste the sushi in this diverse restaurant. Choose from the various sushi plates to enjoy selection or choose from the menu of maki and nigiri.

The thing I liked the more about Origami was its vast choice of shellfish sushi and nigiri. Origami is a fantastic location to taste uni, also known as sea urchin that is not often found in most menus.

Just a few steps just a few blocks away from Loring Park, Sushi Train serves up sushi with a modern flair. Sushi Train offers conveyor Sushi on belts in a contemporary environment.

Customers choose their meals from the conveyor belt, with a variety of new options at various prices. Sushi Train ensures the freshness of their sushi by putting chips to the plates to record how long they’ve been sitting on the belt.

Sushi Train is an ideal location for those looking to gain an understanding of sushi. It’s a great option to taste different sushi rolls without having to commit to a full portion.

As well as stacking various dishes of sushi I also tasted eating the Spicy Crab Bowl, a lively combination of spicy crab in the form of a seaweed salad.
